The use of novonic® cable-yarn means that textiles such as webbing, knitted fabric, ribbon or netting can be manufactured with conventional production methods. These novonic® based textiles are heatable, can transfer data, can monitor processes and shield against radiation.
The novonic® construction is surprisingly simple. An elasticated or non-elasticated core yarn is spirally wound with wire and both are protected by an outer protective yarn. The combination of various high tech materials produces a yarn-cable that combines ample mechanical flexibility and high elasticity, crack-resistance, excellent electrical conductivity and textile strength.
